Lackner-Tinnacher Sauvignon Blanc Grosse Lage STK Ried Welles

Overall consistent with previous notes, but the wine now feels a bit more mature, with some honey and hay flavors starting to emerge. There is a good amount of ripeness but the line and gooseberry flavors keep it balanced. Probably drinking at peak now.

From magnum. Pretty classic Austrian Sauvignon Blanc nose of gooseberry, lime, and chalk. Nice acidity with lemon zest, a hint of grassy notes, and a slight bitterness. Nice finish. The wine was light and subtle but with good depth.

Red bell pepper, pear, melon, honey, and a hint of citrus on the expressive nose. Very good acidity with lemon peel, honey melon, and sweet pear notes on the palate. Excellent finish.

Peach, bell pepper, gooseberry, and white flowers on the nose. Grassy notes on the palate with slightly bitter backbone. Medium acidity. Good finish.
