Great fruit and acid-driven wine - at 10yrs still fresh and lively, primarily citrus and pit fruit notes with a hint of tropical and nuttiness, body rounds out as it warms. Tasted back -to-back w 2010, this is slightly richer and better w food.

Aging this a couple years definitely did not hurt. Still complex and luscious. Drink them now, though.

Clear light gold. Amalie Robert has delivered some beautifully balanced & delicious Pinot Noir, so I'm not surprised at all that this estate Chardonnay follows suit. Acid driven, but well balanced with citrus & orchard fruit. Crisp & bright with excellent tension. Herbal & melon notes add complexity to the aromatics. There are so many different lenses through which one can view Chardonnay. This shows an excellent mix of old world acid & minerality along with the bright fruity quality …

Color: Golden Straw Nose: Citrus, green apple, with subtle peach and oak Palate: Great balance of creaminess and acidity Finish: Medium bodies long lasting silky smooth finish Thoughts: We are so glad to see that Mondavi has joined the rest of Napa and not making over oaked Chardonnay's. We had stopped drinking them, but what are doing now they are outstanding. Mondavi did a great job on this one and glad we have a few more in the cellar. Found …

Developing. Palate: Dry, medium (+) acidity, high alcohol, medium (+) body, medium (+) flavour intensity, flavour characteristics of buttered ripened pineapples, green melon with white pepper, baked red apples & vanilla spices. Texturally the wine has a prolific creamy, mouth-coating viscosity which leads …

Grassy, herbal nose with some butter. A little acrid, but not too oaky, decent verve. Good balance. Satisfying, but lacks soul. Commercial, fruity, light. 84-85

Nice wine. Full flavor but we'll balanced and not over done. Good acidity. Distinctly CA flavor, but in proper balance / proportions
