Bunnell Family Cellars Syrah Horse Heaven Hills

Bunnell produced Syrahs for several years from a variety of nearby vineyards. For some unexplained reason that ended. Too bad. They were all reliably well made and polished.

Four years since last bottle.... It doesn't feel a day older Needs a few hours air Black acidity on finish is not pronounced, still largely fruit-driven, but nicely balanced. Works better with cheese than meat No significant sediment I hadn't noticed/recalled that this is a single vineyard - Discovery - with some appealing freshness

Seems to be some bottle variation on these, as I have had a number of bottles with different results. This bottle was a little hot and tamed down a little bit over a day or so, but never was as good as my earlier review (2/15).

Black fruits and licorice. Drank at end of evening. Nice, Lingering finish. Was a hit with guests.

Lovely nose Smooth, juicy, extremely attractive
