Showing well and the style grows on me. This go around I get coffee and Maraschino Cheery notes (or almond-y note). The zing may tempt some to pronounce this too acidic, but I find the acid in reasonable ratio to fruit. An acquired taste, which (luckily) I have acquired. (PS: this go around I'd rescind my Cru Bojo reference. Probably closer to a Nebbiolo...stay tuned - next time maybe Gruner?)

Definitely on the savory side of PN, so I can see why it mat not be on some people's buy-again list. Personally, I thought it is excellent, somewhat unique (we seek that in our wines, don't we?), and a cross between a fine cru Bojo and a Fixin level Burg..Good length. At list price of $45 I'd say pass, however at discounted $20 - I am very good with it.

Going against my last note here some -- that must have been a "bad bottle" on some level......This has the mojo that I remember from this wine. I will say that it is bricking a bit, which is a bit of a yellow flag for an under 5-year old bottle, but nose and palate are solidly earthy and dark-fruited as I remember this wine from circa 2009-ish. Good stuff. Nice mouth feel and excellent overall goodness. Bricking would lead me …

nose - earth and herbs, with very slight fruit flavors, mouth - tart, dried cherries - this is a very average West coast Pinot for the price, but not bad for a Tuesday night

A: Clear, light to medium ruby; a touch of brown at rim N: Mushroom, forest floor, truffle; a little cherry/raspberry fruit - cherry cola mainly P: Lush earthiness, med body, med acid, silky med tannin, med alc, med + finish This suprised me. Didn't expect to like this one that much. Was my favorite of the Bruno, Penner Ash and Anne Amie. Drinking very nicely at present.

Not entirely sure which bottling I had; one that's selling for $35. Have tasted this twice this year, liked it both times, 91-92. Balanced, good fruit, hint of spice and complexity. Would like to try a full bottle sometime if I can find a deal sometime.

Nose was earthy black cherry. A lighter bodied example of Oregon Pinot with really nice cherry flavors. Getting some oak and black pepper. Really nice acidity that is well balanced with the tannins.

Light garnet color. Elegant and pretty in style, easy to drink. 14.4% alcohol but you would never guess it. Reserved nose of spicy raspberries is followed by mildly tart raspberies and a touch of forest floor. Did not change much after opening, and is a touch on the one-dimensional side, but very drinkable $27 Pinot.

From the new winemaking team is the guess. Brighter and prettier than it has been.

Nice light body. Definitely some flavors of spice and a bit of nicely integrated oak. Noticed some sage on the finish.
