Dark cherry and forest floor notes on the nose. On the palette has some spice, chocolate, eucalyptus. Very well balanced with good acidity and long finish. Got even better as the evening went on. Still quite young and will wait 3-5 years for my next bottle. Went extremely well with the grilled NY strip steak dinner.

From Titus Vineyards, a Bdx blend of 41% CS, 22% Malbec, 12% Merlot, 10% CF, 9% PV, 6% PV. I wanted to try this even though it's young and will improve with age. Dark, bold, black fruits. At first sniff and taste it tasted like a Cali Cab Sauv to me and as it opened more aromas and flavors from the other grapes became evident. dark fruit chocolate oak blackberry plum blackcurrant raspberry espresso

2022 Andronicus is a lushous blend: 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Malbec, 12% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 9%Petit Sirah, 6% Petit Verdot. Beautiful wine, but it's a 2021, and here in 2023, it's just too early to open it. Although we decanted for an hour, we're putting the rest away for 2026 and later. The wine is a blend featuring all 5 Bordeaux wines + 9% Petit Syrah. There is dark fruit but at the moment it's hiding behind stronger notes of eucalyptus, oak, and vanilla.
