René Cacheux et Fils Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts

Dünn und wirklich zu sauer. Kein guter Jahrgang.

Rusty garnet. Elegant and seductive aroma. Strawberry, cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry. Geranium, rose. Subtle green notes from whole cluster. Lots of oak aroma, cedar, sandalwood, smoke. a bit of barnyard. Clove, black pepper, cinnamon. Subtle soy sauce. White musk one hour after pouring. Modest unami mlike flavor. Medium acidity. Medium and a little grippy tannins. Modest bitterness on the end. Long finish.

Spice on nose. Soft and subtle with strawberry fruit. Classic.

부르고뉴 와인을 마시면 포기해야 할 선택지들이 있다. 향을 포기할 것인가? 혹은 맛을 포기할 것인가? (그것도 아니라면 월급을 포기할 것인가?) 이 와인은 (그렇게 맛이 나쁘다는 건 아니지만) 향을 위하여 맛을 조금 포기한 와인이라 볼 수 있겠다. 따르자마자 느껴지는 팔렛은 달달한 딸기향과 가죽향이 같이 올라오는 기분이다. 그리고 일종의 먼지향 비슷한 것이 올라오는데 참 저렴한 표현이지만 깨끗한 걸레 (or 수건) 빤 느낌이다. 제일 좋은 점은 이 향이 거의 2-3시간이 지나도 꺽이지 않고 발향된다. 입에서는 과실향이 진한 편이긴 한데 향에 비하면 아쉽다. 산도도 나쁘지 …

Drank over 5 hrs, nice red fruit with earthy notes on the nose, the palate has some red and dark fruit with some sous bois, along with vosne spice, over a couple hours I got some rhubard on the palate, it finshes nicely but no very long. This feels like it lacks some of the concentration and depth of other vintages but is still enjoyable now.

Eminently drinkable right now. Smooth and elegant.

BORGOGNA NOVEMBRE 2015; 11/5/2015-11/7/2015 : Barrel tasting at the domaine. 70% diraspato - 80% legno nuovo. Ancora compresso e legnoso, molto indietro, anche se la texture è più setosa ed elegante.
