Brought by a friend to lunch. Beautiful translucent medium ruby color. I get a smoky scorched earth note on the nose and the palate, not unattractive. Balanced acidity, ripe cherry and strawberry fruit and layers of earthy minerals. Quite complex but just a triffle short on the finish.

Lots of oak and very flay. Not much fruit here and kind of astringent. Pretty disappointing given the quality of their Blackjack pinot, which was truly delicious.
