Pomegranate, baking spice, campfire, sweet tobacco, dusty, red fruit on the nose. It’s continued to evolve over the course of the evening. Wine is toeing the line between savoriness and freshness. Elegant and yet still showing some youthfulness. Stemmy coarse tannins coming through from the whole cluster portion. Great length on the finish. Opened day prior, the decant really helped bring the wine together

Drink up! This bottle has a good nose and a very good length, but the mouth is a little bit… structured, without the balancing note of super duper fruit, which the wine surely had a few years ago.

What a weird bottling with all of these different tasting notes. This one was best a little bit after opening, and over the course of an hour, degenerated a tiny bit into a more acidic, less harmonious bottle.

Rally a stunner at age 11. Quite something in it’s not so subtle, slightly aged winey cherry notes. Great all around… nose, mouth, and length. Especially the nose and the mouth and the length. Lots left here for the future. Try the last bottle in… 5 years? 2029?

Consistent with previous notes. Medium ruby color in the bowl. Black cherries, raspberries, licorice, floral, and earthiness in the nose. Black raspberries, plums, and spice in the flavor. Well balanced, medium to full bodied, nice acidity and complexity and a medium to long finish.

PNP. Cork perfect. Color light garnet. Nose dominated by cherry vanilla and the restrained alcohol hints of warm climate fruit. Swishing shows both acid and tannin structure w the tannins a little tingly. Sipping shows glossy mouthfeel and great balance with a spicy med length pleasing finish. Popped and poured and finished the bottle with friends the next night. Strong, round flavors of raspberry, spice. Fairly big wine for a pinot, but not a surprise given this is a hot vintage in 2012. Solid wine, well made wine, but bolder than I typically like with a Pinot Noir.

First one. Bright notes of cherry and soda pop. Nice nose, slightly high pitched mouth that might could use some body, good length. The sum is greater than those parts, but doesn’t rise into the quite excellent realm.

Opened 1/2 hour before pour. Hot in the mouth, beautiful dark cherry color welcome nose. But alcohol bite. Ran current pours through a venturi aerator and much better. So decant. Another imbiber recommended another year or two. So will try again in 2022

Since 1996 one of our least favorite Rosie’s. Full bodied dark cherry. Med + acid. Color to rim. ruby leaning to garnet. Light grip/Finishes on the mid palate.

PNP. cork perfect. color shows no age. the alcohol tells of warm climate. swishing shows mostly acid structure with the tannin buried under fruit peeking out in finish. tannin seems to be fruit based and not oak. sipping shows polish. this was delish tonight with a salmon dish. i think drinking very well and not sure that there is upside to waiting.

PnP. Deep red w purple tones. Red and black berries on the nose with some spiciness and a touch of heat as well. Lovely depth of flavor on the palate with deep berry flavors and a long finish with some tannins which are well integrated but still there. Intense wine but well balanced. A bit clenched on the finish so could definitely go and perhaps improve for another 3-5 years.

PNP. cork perfect. color dark ruby. nose has dark fruit and dominated by alcohol. swishing shows some acid and tannin structure, and the tannin is partly oak driven. finish is balanced and has some alcohol peeking out. sipping shows dense fruit and some rhubarb that covers the alcohol and structure. this is a very dense wine and has good balance. would stick to fatty foods to balance the alcohol otherwise this is very polished.

This seems to be over the hill already. Very dark and broody, almost not pinot like. Not unpleasant, but not what I expected.

Ripe plum, black cherry and cough syrup with dry forest flour, lit sweet cigar, garden soil and licorice on the nose. The mouth explodes with tart cherry and mixed dark berry with strong tea, pipe tobacco, cracked black pepper and biscuit dough. Bigger then I like, riper then I like, but way, way more to like.

PnP. Medium dark ruby. Spice and herbs on the nose. Nice velvet texture on the palate though perhaps not as much as Rosemary's. Surprisingly good and close to ready though no rush to drink up.

Same, same, same. Previous notes apply. I’m about as excited as I’ve been previously about this wine, which is not much... likely even less so this time around. It has some saturated black cherry and subtle earth flavors that play make-believe with your tastebuds, but complexity is ultimately weak and delivery is flat.
