This is a magnificent wine! A little dark in color (which makes me think a little syrah has been added). The nose isn't very expressive, some forest floor and cranberry. I was blown away at the first taste, there is an incredible amount of acid w/an almost effervescent finish. Dark cranberry and cola flavors dominate the palate. This wine begs for a good food pairing. I highly recommend this wine as it is a surprising change from your average Pinot.

Napa-Noma, June 2006: Pretty, high toned red berry and cranberry fruit. Decent. Smells a bit like a Merry Edwards Pinot I had recently. Silky texture.
