Tasted vis-a-vis the 2020. This seems to be developing rather quickly, showing hints of maturity, ripe fruit, good acidity and local feel. Dinking a point, no hard edges here. #Kandestederne

Sweet.. nearly sickly sweet but not quite there, fruity and lacking the acidity hence felt off balance. Not my favourite Languedoc alas! Final bottle from a half case. I should really have kept a few bottles back for ageing, but it seems I cannnot resist the youthful combination of jewelly fruit (ranging from peach to blackberry), lifted aromas of roses and black pepper, the precision and elegance on the palate, the silky freshness and perfectly judged tannins, and the appetising, slightly savoury finish.

Identical to my previous note - obviously - but I wanted to reiterate how ridiculously delicious this wine is. Nothing sticks out, nothing is exaggerated, nothing is missing, everything is in place, it is just so pure and playful, elegant and well defined, polished but not anonymous, with a real sense of place. Not cheap for a Languedoc, but well worth the money.

Pas de notes: Vin intéressant de Rostaing, le nez est plutôt discret avec des notes de poivres, viandes, fruits noirs. Les tannins sont souples, le vin est vraiment équilibré et ce boit vraiment facilement. Une longeur un peu courte, mais c’est excellent tout de même!

Le vin est magnifique, arrivé à son apogée, cette bouteille à de bons tannins, légèrement acide, peu de fruits, beaucoup d'arômes secondaires et typiques de la syrah, cuir, épices, tabac, olives noires et du poivres. Le vin enveloppe bien la bouche et a une longueur et une puissance plus que notable. À acheter à la caisse. 5/5

Austere and elegant at first, it just needed a good decant to open up. Hopefully, I'll read this note before opening my last bottle. This one needs to breathe.

Un nez réglissé avec de la garrigue. Très jolie texture, une extraction modérée, un beau fruit mûr mais pas trop, une finale épicée. Un vin assez puissant et fin en même temps, fort bien équilibré. 90-91 pts

Robe intense, très légèrement tuilée, le nez d'intensité moyenne présente des notes de fruits rouges (framboise +++), d'épices et de bois. La bouche suit, intense, et présente un très bel équilibre. C'est un vin intéressant, sans toutefois présenter la profondeur que laissaient présager son origine et son prix ($39).
