Very mild-mannered bottle with modest tannins and soft fruit. Served as our Christmas dinner red, went so well with our beef tenderloin with pistachio and pancetta. End date a few more years in its prime.

Amazing 26 year old Bordeaux blend. Dark fruits, plum, dusty tobacco and earth with along finish. Who says American wine doesn't age well? We have a bottle left, will try again in another year or two.

Beautiful bottle of wine. Very bright and complex with subtle peppery notes. Was ready on PnP. If I had more I'd drink them sooner than later to capture that brightness and fruit forward essence. If you like your red more subdued, I'd guess this can go years.

Just fantastic bottle of wine. Very "French" as compares to the "BIG" Cali wines... this is special.

Another Day, Another LWS (Jarvis, Guigal, some values) (Chuck's Fine Wines) : Now, this kicked it up a whole bunch of notches. I believe it is a Bordeaux blend that retails for $170. Gorgeous wine. Whether its worth the money depends on your budget. Purple in color. The nose has depth. Cassis, dark cherries, leather, slight earthiness and spice. On the palate, great juicy texture. Lush. Lots of fruit but not over done or blowzy. There is depth and a …

Light red color. Complex aromas of red currants, sour cherries, bell pepper and a touch of lead pencil. Sweet, high acid fruit in the mouth with very good depth and a long, lingering finish. Very integrated and refined, this mature California Cab was a delicious match with my wife's spicy pork tenderloin.

Popped and poured, aroma was immediate. Sweet and floral nose, some violet and currant. Somewhat earthy on the palate, which was not evident in the aroma, and was a nice surprise. Well balanced, earthy, currant, violet flavors, and nothing lost on the finish. Does not seem to be on its way out, and was consistent over an hour or two.

My other 375. Pop and poured and was immediately accessible. Soft floral and sweet nose, along with very rounded and smooth medium-bodied palete with light notes of earth, graphite, red fruit and a touch of chocolate. Despite its lack of deepness or richness, it has a great sense of restraint and balance that I find very appealing. Finishes a little like the last bottle with a slight sour tartness, but this bottle is clearly superior.

From a 375. Very floral and expressive on the nose. On the palette these is balanced dark fruit and smoothed out tannins. Although this isn't a great wine, I do love the early 90s Napa wines that are made in this restraint style. After some air though, it became more tart and acidic but not in a good way ... more of a citricy kind of acidity rather than a mellow tanginess that I enjoy. It did not seem young …

Decanted for 1 hour and served with dinner. Fantastic nose of currants, with deep cab franc notes. A touch herbal. The palate is still very young and tart, with a full mouth feel and a rich texture. Still quite young and should hold for quite a few years.

Perfectly balanced fruit, minerality and oak with a fantastically mellow tannin finish. We decanted for about 90 minutes and the wine had opened up nicely. Incredible balance and nuance. Very enjoyable!
