Outstanding wine. Five years ago, I said that this structured wine had a lot of years of life left. It stood out for its graphite notes while giving everything a Bordeaux blend should. Now, this wine is soft, complex, and still giving that hedonistic graphite texture. It’s not showing huge tertiary notes yet, but is still just gorgeous. This wine is startlingly good. Quite the surprise. Decanted for about 30 minutes. It was initially a bit thin and one-dimensional, but as we drank the bottle, it grew into a stunning, multi-layered beauty. Very refined with dark fruit and graphite notes. Wish I had several bottles more!

Beautiful black fruit, licorice, coffee, spice, and structure on this wine. I had worried about whether this rich wine would age well, and today conclude that this wine really does have the potential to last and develop. This wine still has a lot of fruit on it and another 5-10 years to go.

Outstanding wine! It has a beautiful color and medium to long finish. This wine has some of the most attractive graphite notes that I've ever had. Blackberry fruit, minerality, a touch of earthiness and really nicely balanced acidity round out a beautiful wine.

Continues to improve (decanted 30 mins) - possesses a strong nose, dominated with dark fruits & berries, with hints of licorace. A medium bodied start which is smooth & silky on the tongue, while opening up with a burst of dark fruit with a balanced level of acidity. The finish lingers long and remains silky. Look forward to seeing how this one continues to develop.

Notes from day 2. Dark purple in color. Less expresive nose than last time of violets, black raspberry, vanilla, oak, and spice. Palate of mixed raspberry, a little forest floor, spice, and oak. The finish is a little below average and the oak is really evident with the bottling this time around, but there is decent acidity present as well. Notes from day 2. Purple color. Really nice nose of candied violets & black rapberries, cassis, a little vanilla, a little minerality, and spice. On the palate there was more black & red raspberry, graphite, forest floor, spice and some adequate slightly bitter tannin on the back end and some mouth watering acidity to balance it out.
