Flash note. Petrol, orange peel oil, crushed rock and acacia. Really interesting nose and palate, but faded quickly on mid palate and finish which left me wanting more, and lowered its score. I love Alsace rieslings and will keep expanding my horizons there. Well recommended

Wonderfully fruity and acidic, with developing honey and hay. I agree with other notes that the nose was sweeter than the palate--a reflection of the richness of the aromas. An outstanding expression of Alsacian Riesling. I look forward to tasting my last remaining bottle in a year or two, but it is drinking beautifully now.

This was great. Smelled off-dry and the palate suggested a hint of RS but I'm not convinced it was actually sugar - more likely the richness of the tropical fruit came off a bit sweet. Either way it was a delightful Riesling.

Petrol, lime, apple, flowers, honey, earth, herbs, and minerals on the well-balanced nose. Lemon, lime, petrol-essence sneaking in, apple, earth, flowers, and minerals on the palate. Tangy, mouthwatering, but not sharp acidity, medium finish. I think balance is the keyword here. Nothing sticks out too much, which to me is a good thing, but others might want more acid, sugar, power, petrol, or something else. Delicious might be another appropriate keyword, as this has that in spades.

Quite expressive on the nose with apple, quince, melon dominating. Balanced fruit- acidity, some complexity, intensity and notable finish. Far more enjoyable today than 12 months ago and it should continue to evolve. Drink or hold.

100% Riesling from a steep south-facing hillside, at an altitude of 220 to 320 meters, on clay-marl and sandstone soils. The nose deals in sophistication and delicacy. A Burgundy drinker's Riesling. Very correct wine with good typicity, balanced fruit and acid. Everything in place, in proper proportion. Good to drink now, maybe develop more complexity in the cellar? I'd hesitate, as there isn't tons of acid to suggest a long life. Served alongside an MF Richter Graacher Himmelreich trocken with friends. The Richter was quickly consumed, this Riesling wasn't. Perhaps the more acidic verve of the German wine better suited the al fresco nature of the evening?

Packs plenty of power and density, citrus peel with pith bitterness, orchard fruit and creaminess on a stony mineral frame. A great example of what a well-balanced Alsatian Riesling could be, straddling that line between the lithe Rieslings and the big, powerful Rieslings.

Yellow gold colour. Nose stoney minerality and petroleum notes with touch of lemon rind and apricot. Palate instense minerals and stone balanced with a buttery creaminess. Lemon rind bitterness with a hint of lime juice and pineapple. Not so much mouth watering acidity. Long, citrus, stoney and herby finish but still balanced as v dry. Bitterness but still fresh and it just works - usually I don't like it but I like this as it feels reflective of the slatey …

Loved this wine! Just killer. Grand Cru power, depth and amazing minerality and citrus notes. Tasty & aromatic orange peel to compliment the lemon, apple and stony notes. 13% alc Going back for more soon. Paid $30. Easily drinks like $75 plus.
