80% syrah, 18% cab franc, 2% cab sauvignon Day One: Deep purplish red. Full bodied. Not showing very much on the nose at this point - a little hot. On the nose and palate were teeth-staining red berries with a hint of black pepper. Great mouth-smacking tannins. Not a whole lot of complexity. Day Two: Decanted overnight. Wine had completely mellowed the next day. Tannins had softened and integrated. Very easy drinking wine at this point. Nose still not showing …
