A blend that changes by vintage. This time Chenin far more dominant than usual - 54%, Semillon 14%, Roussanne 13%, Viognier 9%, Grenache Blanc 6%, Palomino 4% - and that doesn't really work for my palate. The Chenin needs more time and I think that leaves this slightly disjointed. At its most integrated and interesting on day 4.

The rise and rise of Chenin Blanc (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : Waxy, slight stone fruit and citrus, herbaceous underpin. Fresh herbs. Like the Secateurs it's both surprisingly soft and bitter (though not as bitter) alcohol warmth intrudes here as well. Nah.
