(Pal) Ok il grimpe à 15,5° d’alcool et c’est là le reproche qu’on peut lui faire, mais sinon quelle aromatique, quelle typicité, quelle finesse dans la puissance. Une teinte rubis claire, évoluée, reflets bruns; un nez explosif sur la fraise bien mûre, un peu compotée, confiture de vieux garçon, de mûre et cerise noire, de l’iris, de la pivoine, des épices, un très léger cuir, du pot pourri… En bouche, une heureuse acidité vient compléter une matière chaude et fine; …

Light color. Nice nose but it's really the palate that shines with its aromatics. Some roses, pivoine, mix of dark and red fruits. Can age a bit but really enjoyable now. Quite complex. Really liked this wine. Would go well with the lamb that eats the grass between the vines in the winter, according to Faustine :)

First Corsican wine I've had (I think), this carries its 15.5% alcohol very well. Predominantly elegant strawberry jam and herbs, but with quite some intensity.

Pop and pour. Good stuff. Reminds me of a complex Etna Rosso though perhaps a bit more plum than the brighter red fruit one might find in Etna. Slightly sweet but my guess is that fades with a few years in bottle. Would repurchase.

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light ruby colour, with fading pinkish and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium (-) intensity aromas of red fruit of raspberry, strawberry and cherries, floral notes of violet, herbal notes of tea, kernel notes of toasted pistachio, hints of maturity notes of savoury. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium (-) tannin of ripe and velvety texture, high alcohol, medium (-) body, with medium (+) intensity flavours …

Je ne me souvennais pas qu'il titrait 16°... et avouons qu'on ne les sens pas tout à fait: c'est riche, plein, fin et sudiste, sapide, et pourtant quelle harmonie, avec cette franche acidité minérale qui relève l'ensemble. J'imagine qu'un peu de temps va l'affiner, mais déjà, carafé, sur la luxuriance et l'impétuosité, quel beau vin. Fraise mara confiturée, mûre, pivoine, épices sont présents pour parfumer le palais sans relâche!

Plus serré que faustine, mais on retrouve la patte du domaine : nez parfumé sur la fraise et les épices, de la profondeur et de la pureté. En bouche il semble plus jeune et plus impétueux, 2/3 ans lui manquaient pour offrir la finesse sous-jacente. On est bel et bien sur un grand rouge corse, sans austérité ni dureté. Indéniablement l’un des 2-3 grands domaines de l’île de beauté…

Our second Corsican wine, from a storied island family. Very aromatic, a hint of fine white pepper trailing the florals, with the light color emblematic of Sciaccarello.
