Before "opening": Currant and minerality on the nose. Strong spice and no fruit. After "opening": Currant and minerality decreased - a bit of dark fruits (e.g., black cherry), and maybe some leather / and or tobacco. Tingling sensation and spice on the front of the tongue, and hints of dark fruits. Overall, medium bodied, very tannic, not enough fruit, and a short-lasting flavor. Not my style.

Provado informalmente. Garrafa 375ml.

Nose of blueberries and red fruits at first - very tannic, took some time to open up. After it mellowed out a bit, it was more fruity than anything. This would be a good food wine - I'd pair it with citrus-marinated beef.

Mini OL of the board in Mendoza, Argentina; 11/3/2005-11/4/2005 (Mendoza, Argentina) : A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Malbec and 15% Merlot, the Carrascal 203 features medium concentration and a youthful color with a nose of ripe red fruit and a "meaty" touch. In the mouth it has a velvety attack with an interesting mid palate with hints of fines herbes, integrated tannins and medium lenght. Very nice and fantastic QPR
