Oregon... (Spoon and Stable) : Pop and pour, drank a small glass over about an hour. This had an almost Californian profile. There was tangerine peel, baking spice, sweet cherries and ample acidity. It is hard not to enjoy this pinot noir, as it is so satisfying and hits so many flavors.

Brought to a tasting, twisted and poured. Consumed over the next 2.5 hours. Served along side an '08 Beaux Frères, Beaux Frères this had a considerably darker core. At first the nose showed some oak over the red fruits but eventually evened out. On the palate red cherry, strawberry, baking spices, and even some orange peel. Where the Beaux Frères was more elegant and offered a beautiful earthy core I felt the Andrew Rich held up better over the night. …

Monthly Tasting Group: An Embarrassment of Oregon Riches (Spoon & Stable, Mpls, MN) : Just had a small taste of this. Agree with galewskj that this seems a bit bigger and Richer, pardon the pun. Black fruits, rather tasty.

In such a good place at this time. Nose shows dusty, dry leaves, dark strawberry, a bit of clove and allspice--I could sniff this all night. Taste is tart cranberry / rhubarb with raspberry a hint of blueberry, with a green tea finish. Tannins sneak up on you and linger. Really like this.
