My initial reaction was: A Syrah for Pinot drinkers. Lighter and refined. Gained weight over time. A very nice Syrah especially for the price.

Meat and esp briny black olives. Good typicity for a cool weather syrah. Great QPR. Last bottle, but if I had more I would revisit in 2yrs.

I can’t think of a better California north coast Syrah for $22

Terrific QPR. Olive, earth and salinity. Nice concentration. Really enjoyable.

Delicious explosion of briny olives on both the nose and the palate. Good typicity for a cool weather syrah. Phenomenal QPR.

Improved throughout the evening - drank over 4 hours. Probably should’ve decanted.

Garnet/maroon. Smokey olive nose. Salty olives, bacon/ham savory flavors with some cherry and plum. Lots of olive.

perfumed nose, floral, lavender. Smokey, bacon fat, olive on the palate, northern rhone-esque, but with a touch more fruit. great value.

Lots of smoke, some herbs, some olives. Drinks nicely with a touch of air. Enjoyable, good QPR, but not very memorable.

Little bit of smoke, little bit of eucalyptus on the aroma. Medium-bodied for a Syrah. Pleasant and smooth. If a crazy, lively Aussie Shiraz is like Preservation Hall, this one is a bit more like Chris Botti - fine enough to spend an evening with, but a few too many rough edges have been smoothed out for it to be remarkable.

shows best at a cooler temperature, some berry and herbal scents, medium to full bodied with dark personality, there is a smoked quality in the background to the ripe plum, black raspberry, blueberry and clove flavors, acid is supportive, this is a bold and forward version and ready to drink now, delicious

Decanted several hours. Fairly neutral nose. Pretty thin body, medium finish. A bit of old world funk though mostly fruity new world character.

Fantastic syrah, I would pay twice as much for this.
