dark prune colour turning into amaranth; not clear with lighter rim. nose: sharp black currants with menthol notes; thick and robust, bit vulgar. taste: quite high acidity (tart fruits on the palate)chocolate in the finish, later turning into unpleasant bitter notes. Less than average

Xmas day left over 3/4 of the bottle. Dark purple claret not saturated with violet to clear rim. Cassis plum cherry and a stemmy herbal tobacco note on the nose. Medium(-) weight not very tannic. Bright red fruits touch of plum and cassis slight herbal note. Simple well made quaffer.
