PNP. Pretty red fruit and spice on the nose. Medium bodied with juicy acid. Spicy red fruits and just a touch of alcohol. Smooth, this improved over the course of 4 hours. Solid 90 points

Just one of my favorite Barbera wines - especially at €21... 15% ABV and very dark in color. Quite ripe in the fruits with black cherry, blackberry, chokeberry, redcurrant and raspberry and there's an underlying touch of oak, spices, vanilla tobacco, a little bit of forest floor, pepper and some herbs. Medium tannins with some grip to them and a nice acidity although quite a ripe feel as is usual with Barbera. No heat whatsoever some the high alcohol.

From 75cl, cork not seen, decanted 1 hour. Attractiive bright red-fruit scent; medium-bodied entry with high acidity persisting through the mid-palate to a slightly burning oaky-acidic finish; medium (darker red-fruited) concentration; tannins quite restrained for a young Barbera. Spice? Cloves? Tobacco? Freshly sanded cedar wood? I would probably have felt more kindly about this wine had I not paid 85 EUR plus service for it in a Leipzig restaurant. Pop and pour for pasta night. This was just okay. It felt a bit disjointed with too much acid in the mix. Perhaps just a food fine. I hope this evens out with a bit of bottle age.

Blind.Faith ‘Badass Barbera’ tasting. Wine 1 Tasted blind. Pale ruby red - maybe a touch of purple in there too. Big powerful nose with red fruit, the oak cokes though a touch with a little vanilla even. It’s rounder and more opulent in style than some of the other wines in the tasting, dusty tannins and vanilla on the palate alongside the spicy red fruits.

Still young, but displays strong characteristics and should age well! Will taste again next year. Cheers!
