Bonnet-Huteau Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine sur lie Les Gautronnières

This is just weird. No joy.

Clear with a slight yellow-gold tinge. Sweet yellow melons on the nose. Strong lemon curd on the front palate. Transitions quickly to wet cardboard with a hint of spearmint, then transitions. These wet cardboard notes are brief, and not indicative of TCA. Rudely to yellow melon before the lemon curd takes over into the finish. Truly fascinating flavor profile.

More steely and tense, still lots of minerals, lemon-lime and sea salt. Soils: micaschist and amphibolite.
