Visintini Friuli Colli Orientali Friulano Torion

Consistent with my 6/21/18 tasting note. Despite an additional year of aging, it has aged almost imperceptibly, while showing surprising complexity and richness for a Friulano. Drink now or through at least 2021.

This is a fairly unique Friulano, made with organic grapes. It undergoes a 40-day maceration on the skins while in amphora. It is then aged partially in amphora and partially in large French Oak tonneaux. It therefore has a golden hue, compared to Visintini's regular Friulano bottling, but does not appear truly "orange."
