Popped poured , very very sweet wine , not what was expected , think we will leave this chilled for a few hours and see what develops. It became more burgundian over the evening. This would have been better had I waited 5-6 hours to drink.

Crushed as whole bunches. Fermented with indigenous yeasts using a pied de cuve. Aged for 12 months in used 228-liter oak barrels. Assembled in a stainless steel tank and left to marry for another 6 months or so. Bottled with a light filtration and a minimal SO2 addition. 12,5% alcohol. Rather pale yellow-green color. This was another great Chantereves white. Lots of depth on the palate with that signature purity. Lovely texture.

2013 White Burgundy Tasting (Chez John Morris) : Lots of sulphur at first, then some golden appple notes. A bit round on the attack with some nice chalk in the midpalate, but this is a little simple and dilute. My #5.
