A gliding Syrah that is imbued with finesse and freshness. None of this takes away from the depth; the tannins are layered and microfiber. There’s fine lift. Sails on. Fresh blueberries, braised pork shoulder, milk chocolate, lilac and mineral. There’s more of a Côte Rôtie spin, with Santa Lucia Highlands style. The body starts off medium and then becomes rather full. Full indeed. Stunning fruit. Drink 2024 - 2039.

Pop and pour. Selected this as I wanted something big shouldered and primary fruit. Thought I selected the Pinot - turned out it was the Syrah. Rich purple color. Nose offers blackberries and black raspberries. Hi t of kirsch as well. Nice primary fruit nose. Nice acidity on the intro with rich dark fruits, a peppery spice note, and soft and sweet tannins. Has a touch of strawberry and black licorice as well. Quite enjoyable as a primary fruit forward …

14.1% abv. Dark ruby, moderately expressive aromatics. Ripe plum, black olive, leather and black pepper. Excellent depth and length with a silky mouthfeel. This pretty and well made wine is several years from its peak.
