Opened the day before, and left open in the fridge for 24 hours. Pungent aromas of marjoram, cold marble and lime, then powerfully thick, concentrated, with plenty of dry extract, ending chalky, persistent, with plenty of salt. Great energy here. Why spending so much money on Meursault when this is so spot on at a fraction of the price ? A wine to age. If you open it now, give it a day or two of air. Bravo Fabien.

Marjoram, herbal and honeysuckle scents, with the distinctive limestone notes from Pouilly Fuisse, then satiny in the mid palate with chalky and extract reserves, this is very good to pair with Lobster bisque and other rich sauce, this entry level wine is really good. DesJ PF still a solid brick. Unyielding reduction but also has dense texture to match. There’s no fat or lassitude that one often expects from PF. High quality for a village wine and one from the Macon at that. Although the quality is also somewhat priced in.

Medium+ nose of honeysuckle, lemon peel, nectarine, melon, white bread, hint of popcorn, and wet stone. Intensely mineral on the palate, with medium+ acidity and medium mineral finish. What a delicious wine and fantastic value!

Quintessential Pouilly-Fuisse ramped up to 11. Still reductive but beyond that, redolent of white peach and apple pie. Unapologetically fat, rich and unctuous. Has the acid to carry it and it is qualitatively good, although perhaps a bit too heavy to be truly great as it weighs down the palate somewhat.
