From a 750. This bottle is absolutely dialed-in right now, and readier to drink than I would have even figured. It begs for food paired with it,

Beautiful showing. Coming into its own. This is far richer and broad than I remember when tasting on release. Definitely some secondary development with several more years of improvement ahead

Nose: red fruits, red apple, nuts, white flowers, pear, apricot Notes: 12.5% ABV. Disgorged 2021. So typical of this house everything is so fine and elegant. The lovely red fruits and freshness here is extremely attractive and appealing. An incredibly sweet palate for a brut nature so it again shows excellent winemaking can work like dosage in neutralizing the wine. RdJ remains my favorite in this new generation of RMs. Drink: now+ Rating: 92

My second time to try this wine, last about 3 years prior. It has filled out a little but really minimal evolution in my memory. The aromatics on the nose are vibrant and show slivered almond, green apple skin, and lemon curd. Again, not much red fruit to be found. The wine is long and intensely concentrated, without any fault to find, but aging at a seemingly glacial pace. As an aside, I find that to be true for most …

Perfect bottle to open for Valentines day. Paired with our homemade pizza and cheese plate. A half bottle on day two was a more complete experience.

Birthday dinner at Juliette! A little muted upon open, it wasn't as giving as the Laherte Crayeres. Needs a lot more time in the cellar, but this wine is very focused and there is a lot of structure here that shows a lot of potential.

I am now decided. This is my favourite Cedric Bouchard bottling. So much bang for the buck! Both a crowd pleaser whilst being an intellectual wine. The 1996 Salon was better.... but it wasn't 10x better, that's for sure...

just as good as expected. Hopefully i can continue to find this wine at release pricing at the same store. Still have never been disappointed by a bottle of Bouchard.

The one with October babies (Kolabo) : Arranged as a champagne flight midways - and preferred this over the Emmanuel Brochet. By no means am I as familiar with champagne but bouchard always shows quality. Lovely waves of citrus, almonds, green apples and brioche notes in rich and velvety fashion. Impressive focus and precision through the nose, palate and finish.

I don’t drink much Champagne/white burgundy but this was the best white of the night by a good margin. Comparatively the other two champagnes were leaner and less complete.

A birthday celebration for Sep/Oct babies : Brought for a friend. Similar impressions before, a richer, more hedonistic edition of the VV with distinct opulence and sweetness. Had superb tension despite the large scale. Most including myself preferred this marginally over the Brochet but both were fantastic.

Really well made wine. This is, after some air, so balanced and intense, without the use of oak. Lovely citrus and brioche notes, some red fruit. Score for drinking now, with upside.

Nose: red fruits, brioche, hint of honey, caramel, red flower, wild berries, citrus, butter, pineapple Notes: 12.5% ABV. Disgorged 2019. Consistent with previous findings, this is an excellent Blanc de Noirs that offers great intensity and aftertaste on the palate. Good notes of red fruits and creaminess with a bit of tropical fruits and everything is quite well integrated. A wine with quite a well defined structure and good backbone and probably everything you want from a fine Champagne. Highly …

Ripe yellow apples, ripe apricot, orange peel, lemon peel, orange blossom, fresh baked bread and anise on the nose. Medium + intensity of both flavors and aromas. The palate adds cocoa powder, passion fruit, hops and fresh thyme while keeping alll of the other aromas from the nose. Pretty complex and very different from the '19 and '21 alongside which this was tasted. Medium + intensity of flavors. Medium body with medium - acid and a low mousse. Drinking pretty …

Goldish color; sourdough, ripe pear; softer, almost GC Chablis-like; broader as it hit your tongue, less aromatic, less finish as well but still quite nice and soft. Probably my least fav of the night but certainly not bad as all the Bouchard bubbles were exceptional. Buvons Roses de Jeanne tasting w/J

Such a smooth operator. A couple of years in the cellar much improved it. Also profited from lots of air. Love it!

Nose: wild berries, pear, citrus, lemon custard, butter, hints of plastic, white flower, mandarin, hints of earth, red flowers, pineapple Notes: 12.5% Abv, disgorged 2021. This is an excellent showing of blanc de noir. Excellent structure and wild berries aroma from the pinot noir, this Champagne is light bodied but super intense, a wonderful combination for drinkers who look for finesse rather than power. Whats great about this wine is that it shows both red and white flowers which to …

It's hard to say this has ever been in a bad place, but it's showing especially well at the moment. A hasty pop 'n' pour did first present the wine in a stern and angular light, but that softened immensely in a Zalto Bordeaux glass. Soon we were in the land of blooming citrus and meadows of white flower with an almost smoky savoriness. This is landing more than ever like white Burgundy with bubbles; I confess to feeling a …

40-year-old vines, which is relevant here because the first mind bending aromas here are seaside minerality of oyster shell, crispy fried shrimp shells, and sea salted peanut husks with citrus acid and green apple (malic acid) notes that might have you thinking there is Chardonnay here. The weight and red berries on the palate obviously speak to Pinot Noir and are highlighted with a light herbaceous quality like strawberry tops.

Similar impressions as the last, and obviously I’m cracking these open way faster than I really should. Really enjoyable. Warm, fuzzy and enveloping nose. Sweet yellow orchard fruits, ripe stone fruits, yeasty and floral.

Fathers’ wines in Burgundy theme. : Wow I previously thought that the ‘20 was rich but this was even more hedonistic and sweet. Pleasurable but more opulent than expected
