27 year old wine holding its weight pretty good, clearly tertiary aromas are very present but not over the top. Dark cherry , horse sweat and leathery tones present on the palate with a linguering finish.

Took to Vegas (Ferraro's) and the Som did a nice decant including cooling the wine down a bit. Paired great with classic Italian. Delicious.

Too young. Shows great potential. Needs at least 1-2 hours right now before you even get into it.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (M&R's) : Double blind. Lighter in color, this looks like it has a little bit of age. Aromas of red berry fruit with baking spice overtones. Medium bodied, with red berry fruit and spice on the palate and bright acidity. (R&D)

Bought off the list at Cafe Veloce. Nicely priced there. Popped and poured and let sit in the glasses for 15-20 minutes before dinner. It worked well with Lasagna and pasta with pesto. Reviewed at home from remainder we brought home, so open about 2 hours. Nose is earthy, dark, very dark cherry fruit, hints of oak, nice complexity and one to keep going back to. Palate is dark, tannic, and still quite youthful. There's good fruit under the tannins. …

Never nice, need to open up a bit. Very smooth, a litttle smoke and strawberry Not too fruity or sweet, we’ll balanced.

Exquisite wine! Ruby red colour all the way to the edge of the glass. Medium tannins. Soft raspberry notes, sage, and soil. Very long finish, pairs beautifully with pasta. Drink now through 2040+

Fading colour. Sweet fruit and spice. This took on concentration and energy with a couple hours of airing. Nuanced and balanced. What a great surprise!

Short decant. It has been 4 years since we last drank this vintage. Wine has matured and is drinking nicely. Still lots of life left so no hurry to drink these up. Velvety smooth. Definitely cherry infused flavors. About what you would expect from a Leonetti wine. Beautiful.

Fading. Fruit is thin, ok on first night, kind of blah second.

very good taste right at opening. Allowed to breath over an hour and pairing with food was acceptable ; I was hoping for better pairing but this wine was on its own. I think this can age much longer

Decanted about 1 hour. Velvety smooth. Definitely cherry infused flavors. First time tasting a Leonetti Sangiovese. Still a little young but very nice. We'll revisit this in a year or two.

Dark red. Notes of flowers, oak spice on the nose. Cherry, leather with medium tannin and nice acidity in finish. Softened while opened for an hour or two. Would save for 2-3 years and revisit. Enjoyable sangiovese, however not sure the QPR is there.

Not what we were hoping. Did not have the depth and character expected from a Leonetti. Even though we decanted and let sit a day, it still was not showing maturity.

A spicy oaky nose with cherry juice like quality The fruit was singular and simple, it tasted as if there were only two components, a cherry element and an oak element, and that’s about it. A bit astringent in the mouth with a short and semi diluted finish. I cant’ say that I really enjoyed this.
