Soft and lovely after all these years. It was "relaxing" which is appropriate for the Thanksgiving holidays.

Didn't expect much from this bottle, but in the end, I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of minerals (some oyster-shells), toasted brioche dominated the palate and the finish. Very long finish of toasted brioche. Light citrus notes.

Purchased this bottle by auction, searching for a top sparkler from this vintage, here we are, on word about the packaging, never seen such a tremendously finished case, but hey......., for a wine nerd this is not really important, everything is delivered by the wine in your glass only, very fine nose of roasted nuts, some raisin, oloroso cherry, in the background slightly raspberry, first of all: very creamy flow over the mid palate, so pure and intense, on the …

Plenty of fizz left, soft acids, elegant mousse. Strawberry cream and bricoje, some light citrus zest notes. Good length. B+

This was a really nice bottle. Generous nose, palate and bead. Citrus including pink grapefruit, berries and minerals. Still very fresh. Loved this wine.

Great fruit, color and acidity. Tight bubbles dying out, but did not taste flat. Great overall wine, fresh - just missing the effervescence.

Great color pale pink/ orange. Aroma of bread dough and citrus. This elegant champagne dances tongue with a nice mineral finish. A great way to celebrate our 22nd anniversary.

This was a fantastic bottle of wine that we opened on OTBN. Great sparkle, good flavors, but frankly, I was hoping for more. It was Outstanding, but it was a bit lacking depth of flavor and personality that a premier champagne should have. thedrunkencyclist.com

Still fantastic. Mellow, round, with just the right amount of berry acidity. Great pale orange color, and showing no signs of age.

Bronze/copper in color, this wine is spot on right now. An elegant, restrained nose of madarin with just a hint of yeast, the taste dominated by subdued orange with an overall sense of dryness that complements the flavors perfectly. Long, subtle finish with a hint of apple and brioche, this can bring someone back from the brink who has had too many overly sweet and cloying roses recently.

Can a wine be dry and full bodied at the same time? Beautiful... Great nose, better close to room temp.

This was not a delicate champagne. One of the darker Roses that I have had. The bubbles were rather large, more like seltzer making the wine feel a bit astringent in the mouth. Not much fruit on the palate. I thought I paid about $100 for this bottle, but now appears to be selling for $400??? Not even close to a $400 champagne. Much better Roses out there, even their NV or the NV Billecart Salmon is better in my …

pale pink/salmon color... very different than the Larmandier-Bernier. Toasted yeast on the nose, strawberry notes on the palate. A beautiful champagne, much different and more complex than all the other champagnes of the evening.

Medium peachy yellow pink color; a little sulfur on nose, opening to a toasty, mineral, pink grapefruit nose; very tasty, young yet but elegant pink grapefruit, mineral and toast palate with breadth and depth, and a slight soy note toward medium-plus finish 93+ pts. (1006 cases)

Another great bottle, with stone crabs and grilled ahi for my birthday dinner with Cathy and the kids out in the gaazebo. Finally cool enough down here to do that.

Some friends brought this bottle to dinner at Hawkshead Inn in South Haven, Michigan on Saturday. This is Laurent-Perrier's top bottling. It is made in limited quantity and only in the best vintages using 100% Grand Cru fruit. I believe that 1997 is only the 4th time this Cuvee has ever been made. The previous years being 1982, 1988 and 1990. This is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. Just an excellent Champagne. Salmon pink color. Full …
