Past its prime but satisfying. Plum and dry herbs. Tannins have softened still hold up to give structure.

This 2004 Chianti Classico is still drinking very well. The tannins are soft, the fruit is full. There are no signs of senility.

There has been essentially no change in flavor profile since I drank a bottle in May, 2012. The wine is still fresh with a nice fruity profile.

I drank this wine last in December of 2010. At about 2.5 years later it is still drinking well. there seems to be a bit more cherry overtone, but the acidity has not changed. A very nice wine

With veal scaloppini Marsala. Medium color; light, simple fruity aroma. Dry, austere, not much fruit. Light tannin. Pleasant but not distinguished. Wouldn't buy more.

Lean and dry. A little too astringent. Needs to put on more weight.

Lots of red fruits up front with floral scents lurking below. Not too complex. Pleasing chianti without much raciness from the sangiovese. Juicy finish. Drink now.

This wine in this bottle tasted more acidic than the others I have had. I hope it is not the start of a downhill course as I have another 12 bottles to drink. In general I have enjoyed this chianti.

Needs more time. The oak is still forward. Lots of fruit. Balanced. Needs a few years.

Dark color. Slight leather aromas with red currant. Dusty leather on the palate with slight violet hints & brown spice. Grippy sangiovese finish. Nicely made wine.

Minimum bouquet. Low tannins and generally very light on the palate. Hardly any fruit, some tuscan spices but very subtle. Short length, hardly lasting. The riserva turns out to be of lesser character than the normal classico. The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Fast. It smells like Black Pepper, and Oregano. It tastes like Black Pepper, Basil, Herbs de Provence, and Oregano. The body is Light. The wine is textured Narrow. The wine finishes Short.
