Terrific nose, both perfumy and spicy with polished black cherry fruit. Yourhful, dark, and primary, but aromatically flashy. Great power and energy. Although this is yourhful and maybe a little tight, this is already texturally silky. Last bottle of a long night so memory fading, but this was absolutely flavour country. 92 - 93. The ‘01 Morey St. Denis 1er last week was a banger as well. Have to find and buy some of these.

needed an hour or so to open up. deep, dark pinot fruit, some hints of earth, cola and savoriness. lots of structure and chalkiness on the finish. balanced and should be fantastic in another 5-10 years.
