Quite a stunning California Sauvignon Blanc. Tasted blind, I don’t think I’d call California. It seemed more French to me. It is very varietally correct (to my taste), bone dry and racy: lip-smacking citrusy and grassy/green notes, with notable stoniness and acidity. On the finish there is a really distinctive quinine note. A really fresh style of SB for California, and a really nice wine for a low $20s tariff.

Peach, pear and some earthy notes. Medium bodied and with a fair bit of sweet fruit, it trails off a little toward the finish.

Feminine but not too shy; balanced and a good QPR. My kind of SB.

If you're an acid head like I am, you will like Lieu-Dit Sauvignon Blanc. While the tartness is the shining star of this Santa Ynez Valley white, it doesn't overpower the grapefruit citrus tones. A perfect selection for summer sipping.

Light>medium straw, bright. Lemony stones, tea, freshly cut grass and some gooseberries on the nose. Still trying to fit into its britches, this has another 6-12 months before the fruit aligns more precisely with the tension; little of the creaminess that others have mentioned. I like what they've done, and the promise of greater heights is a real one. Maybe one in 30 SBs that I drink are from CA (the rest are from Loire), this one's a keeper. 12,8% …

Such incredible freshness on the nose, it's hard to resist. On the palate this is more reticent than the 14 Melon or the 13 Chenin tasted alongside, but the texture is great and I think it just needs a few more months. It's all there.

Lemon, grapefruit, thyme - nice acidity, balanced by a subtle touch of vanilla cream. Lengthy finish. Very interesting style for Sauv Blanc, and great for the price. Wish we could get some of this over to the East Coast

Really creamy and luscious candied cantaloupe aromas. Lovely. The palate is very soft and creamy. Mellow in flavor, but that nice candied melon is here as well. Moderately drying acidity, too. Creamy on the finish, showing more melon and a little rockiness. Sharp notes on the end, but lovely fruit balance.

Really creamy, great mouthfeel, really precise flavor profile. Good acidity but not overdone. Does not need food. Reminds me of rosemary's block, not as good, but there is a reminder .

At Eleven Madison with SP, followed a classic Sancerre with this. Nice comparison of SB varietals, old world and new. This was balanced, lemon, grapefruit, cream on back palate. Very nice Summer wine
