Leave it to a small winery in Lodi to show how to make a Napa cab. Reminds me of how Napa cabs generally were made 20 - 30 years ago - plenty of ripe berry flavor and tannins, but not so over the top in alcohol, and no residual sweetness. Really well done.

Drinking fantastic! Well-made cab with dark fruit and oak. Perfect to stand alone or pair with a steak.

We ordered this for the spouses who did not want to drink our 1977 Charles Krug Cab. But it was a great surprise. Still youthful and purple in color, big tannins but very smooth and fruity. Drinking very nicely and I will be keeping my eye out for more of this one!

A beautiful beam of pure mountain fruit (red toned with cherry, a little black cherry, cassis and plum skin) without too much oak or coated barrel influence. There is some creaminess and faint milk chocolate on the lively finish. Some pleasant light pine and herbal notes on the nose and finish. Beautiful acidity. Silky.

Dark ruby red with purplish hue. Rich nose with baking spices, dark berries, purple flowers, cinnamon, cocoa and some minerality. Even a bit of savory nuances. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Layered palate with dark floral notes mixed in with black fruits, spices, and dark earthiness. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2037.

young but man it's good!

I thoroughly enjoyed this Spring Mountain cab. Mountain fruit is my favorite just due to the sheer power and simultaneous elegance it can exude. This is a baby obviously, but it is full of blue and black fruit on the nose and has great texture. Rush of blueberry pie, toasted vanilla and earthy components on the finish.

The correct rating for this wine is NR. This is what I call the "just enough" wine. Poured a nice black color and had a very intricate, correct nose for Spring Mountain fruit. Blackberry, peppery, gravelly. Gave you just enough fruit on the front. Just enough gravelly loam in the middle. Just enough tannin and just enough pepper on the finish. Dark ruby red with purplish hue. Started off a little feminine with floral notes and then opened up with dark cocoa, cinnamon and dark berries. Plush and thick on the palate with tons of dark fruits and a little peppercorn. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Blue floral notes mixed in with black fruits. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2037. Aged for 22 months in 60% new French oak. Only 279 cases produced.
