Benefited from a 90 min decant. Rich cassis and loamy Oakville aromas and flavors on display. Plush, mature and well balanced. I didn't hear any wow comments or expressions around the dinner table but several were reaching for the decanter. Limited complexity and finish.

Holy crap this is drinking so much better than two years ago. Fully integrated tannins. Wonderful dark fruit. Robust mouthfeel. Drink now!

Bold fruit and oak on the nose, deep dark big boy of a wine with a thick body but silky texture as well. Lots of fun and probably could have benefitted from a longer decant. Plenty of time to drink.

Still the color of midnight with initial aromas of tar, scorched earth & blackberry purée more reminiscent of a Concha Y Toro Don Melchor than a NV CS. Stewed plums and blackberries, with a vein of red fruit running through combine with well endowed tannins to make for an intriguing mouthfeel. Still dense & muscle bound, this wine will be long-lived. The question I pondered with each sip was will this evolve during its extended tenure? Like a well guarded …

Boy, this got better with age and I’m crying now since this is my last bottle. Looking at my previous note, I get wet gravel and still the blueberry aura. The fruit now has receded a touch and you get a cherry and blueberry jam brûlée. The licorice and suede ending is pronounced. Outstanding mouth feel - a real luxury wine.

I agree with many of the posted reviews. Sadly, I did not have time or quantity the savior it as others in my party did.

Excellent, bold cab. Still pretty tannic, takes a couple hours of air to loosen it up.

The nose gives a nice blueberry field bouquet. The inky delight yields a nice mix of black fruits like plums and dark cherries, but concentrated, like a nice thick French jam. The long finish has a licorice bon voyage. The tannins are still strong, so lay these babies down another 3 to 5 years and it will be a party that you can invite me to.

Big bold rich plum and black currant with a hint of cinnamon and an old world sophistication, paired perfectly with dark chocolate

Taste of Oakville (Carnegie Hall, New York City) : Fun to drink with vintners Zoe and Peter. Deep inky purple color. Nose of blackberry, crushed rocks and licorice. Palate showed blue and black fruits, blueberry pie, smoke and earth notes. Full bodied wine, still backward and tannic at this point. Would let this sit 3-5 years before revisiting, built for the long term...great stuff but hard to rate at this point

Concentrated, rich, full bodied and with a serious depth of fruit, the wine is loaded with ripe black and deep red fruits, licorice, smoke and earthy sensations. Elegant and deep, this wine is in a very nice style.

I have to say that this wine came off as very backward and not ready to drink. Black fruit, closed as could be. Seems like it could have the stuffing to be enjoyable in six months or a year.

But I would respectfully disagree with Bob Parker on 1 thing -- this wine is not backward -- it is ready to pop n pour. Dark brooding colors or plum and purple. Smooth tannins that integrate really well. Lot's of fruit. A really great buy. Highly recommended.
