Citrus driven nose supported by pear and delicate toast. Zippy acidity and a burst of pear fruit on the textural palate. Savoury touched finish.

Polished and modern, yet not overdone. Excellent substance, balance, and finish.

Willamette Valley Trip - June 2018; 6/8/2018-6/11/2018 : 33% new oak. Some tropical fruit flavors, no butter, but round and full. Leans more Californian in style.

Ditto previous notes. Addendum: Day 2, this wine is exquisite paired with pasta smothered in sage butter sauce. The oak just seems to melt away. Changing my score to 92!

This is a well made new world style Chardonnay. Cristom is primarily a Pinot Noir producer. Their Pinot Noir is made in a somewhat fruit forward Burgundian style, blending the best of the new and old world. I was expecting a little more Burgundy in their Chardonnay. Good fruit. No residual sugar noted, but significant oak imparts a strong butterscotch character. Slightly hot on the finish.
