The wine is dead. Would make a nice gift to someone you don’t like.

Raspberry, cranberry and redcurrant. Backed with long fine tannins. Lovely.

They have continuously searched for higher sites for PN to balance global warming, as they have been harvesting 4-5 weeks earlier than 40 years ago. Smokey dark cherry fruit aromas. Sauvage to the palate. 20% New oak. Dark cherry palate, with amari spice.

bright red in the glas, balsamic notes in the nose, cherry fruit is dominating on the palate. Well balanced with a good firm structure and a very well integrated acidity.

Cellartracker in the flesh #2 with Stefan, Akiko, Atsushi & Yukari. (Le Message, Yokohama, Japan) : Spice, meat, red berry; strawberry, slight rose petal. In the mouth flavours of strawberries and spice, slight alcohol heat that is evident quickly and persist on the medium length, fine tannic grip. Meh.

Swe-Aus blind tasting, Yokohama (Le Message, Gumyouji (Yokohama)) : Light red. Nose of newly washed hands. Fruity. In the mouth, this is a thin, rather simple, light-bodied, fruity wine with very small handles. My guess Beaujolais and second guess: Non-French PN.

Raspberry and pomegranate dominate. Develops nicely over the course of 2 hours. Meets expectations; a real wine and decent match to coq au vin.

Big acid and a downplayed nose. Black raspberry, cranberry, pomegranate and rhubarb. Slate mineral. Earth. Red and some darker fruits. Feels lighter on the palate with vibrant acid. Flavors of blueberry, black plum, pomegranate, brambleberry and rhubarb. Also, black cherry on the mid palate. Good minerality, earthiness and stone influence. Slight herb and white pepper nuances. Big acid on the finish. Ends on a core of blue fruit.

Franz Haas Tasting (Oak Barrel, Elizabeth Street, Sydney) : Pale ruby. Aromas of earth, mud, slightly musty strawberry and spice. In the mouth the wine has some alcohol warmth, earth, strawberry, sweet spice and is savoury on the long finish. Perhaps a little simple but excellent quality none the less.

Quite a luxurious pinot with plenty of finish. Lithe minerality that isnt swamped by the fruit of pinot noir
