Wow - a powerful beauty! Seductive ruby/garnet color. On the nose lots of juicy black fruit with some plum and cherry, herbs, very earthy with some funky bread notes, violets, and a little peppery note. The palate has a lot going on in a balanced and complex way - acid and tannins are both very present yet in harmony. The oak eventually comes through as it opens. Needs air but this is a gorgeous Rhône red!

Med Ruby Med+ intensity, red cherry, cranberry, raspberry, black olive, charred wood, developing. Dry, high acidity, high alcohol, med+ intensity, high tannins(chewy), med+ body, cranberry, med+ finish. Overall, this is a very good wine. Red fruit dominant, elegant style. Tried to pair with mollet roe but ended up with rusted flavour.

ENGLISH: Nose: Excitingly characteristic nose, fresh rye bread crust, various Provence herbs, rosemary, gentian, thyme, some black pepper, juicy plums, roasted cardamom Taste: Juicy plum and some cassis on par with the Provence herbs from the nose, full-bodied but polished, including the tannins, even if it can certainly age and gain with a few more years with the fresh acidity, fresh rye bread, fennel, rosemary, some white and black tea, especially on the finish. Comment: Great character and herbal, lots …

Medium ruby red with pink rim. Blackberry, dark cherry, cassis, raspberry, unripe strawberry, leather, black pepper, vanilla, sage, soil and rocks. Medium-high acidity, good structure with layers. Silky tannin. Long sweet finish. Tertiary aromas started to emerge, particularly that of leather and wet saddle. Enjoyable now, but would be better if laying it down for a few more years. Still plenty of sucrose in the wine that needed to be burnt off. Very nice at the Cotes du Rhone villages …

Gamy, white pepper, chicken stock, red plum. Typical Rhone blend. A nice good wine.
