Intense, but slightly more advanced than my previous bottle. Still showed a lot of intensity, ripping acidity, sesame, and some ripe peachy fruit. Ït was a solid wine, although the funk came through a little too much at the end. This wine was served in a field, where it couldn't compete, but it was good in its own right. I'm sure it'll age well, but I don't know into what.

Another stunning FRM! Definitely up there with the top producers in Jura right now. This was golden in color. Nose of yellow florals, nectarine, peach, lemon zest, some herbs, roasted sesame seeds and chamomile. On the palate, ripe stone fruits, nectarine, peach, yellow plum, citrus zest, some tropical fruits, more roasted sesame, chamomile, honey, nutmeg, almonds, crushed stone and that Jura funk/smoke on the long finish. Brought to a blind tasting so i knew what this was but this was so unique and absolutely exceptional! Only one person guessed a weird Jura Chardonnay. Dark golden color. Nose of sesame oil, honeyed flowers, roasted nuts, bruised orchard fruits and salted lemon peel. On the palate, roasted sesame seeds, roasted nuts, honey, butterscotch, ripe citrus, burnt orange peel, baking spice, saline and wet stone. Super ripe wine but with high acidity to balance it out. Yeast, bready, minerals, citrus, yellow plum. At first it was a bit fruity but after 2 hours the fruit is more in balance with the yeasty flavour. @Goût de Jaune

Absolutely astonishing, as is to be expected from FRM. Off the bat it was rather luscious, and bursted from the glass, showing both yellow fruits and a touch of brett. It closed down about 30 minutes later, and only properly came into its own after 1-2 hours; ripping acidity, power and volume, but without ever feeling heavy. Lots of ripe citrus fruits, unripe pineapple, a hint of sesame, yeasty tones from the elevage, and a tiny touch of oxidation. This …
