Medium bodied. A really tasty Rioja. Nice fresh fruit of cherries and blackberries. How is this 19 years old? Incense, cedar, chocolate. Nice dose of herbs on the finish. Stony minerality. Drinking well. Very tasty, enjoyable. Medium acidity, medium dusty smooth tannins.

Now this is much more fun than the rather lumpen 1999. Red fruit on the nose, cherry, Powdery tannin and then crunchy vibrant fruit, perfumed and aromatic with a mineral rocky quality. Dark chocolate. Long. Still young but this should age beautifully.

A new producer to me. Fairly sweet nose but nonetheless fairly traditional in style with black cherry, olive and tobacco. Should have a good life from here, maybe ten years.

Thought this was drinking very nicely. Pretty nose of dark fruits and violets. Great acid, interesting texture, ample substance. Drank over two days and found it showed equally good both days.

I think this wine is now in decline. It's lost some of its muscle, but compensates with a mellow finish. I timed it pretty well with this is being my last bottle. I would try a more recent vintage if I found it.

Blackberry, plum, smoke. Nice concentration, medium to full bodied. Pleasantly smooth and polished but in a boring way for me. Perhaps its simply too young but lacks character as it is on the sweet side and somewhat simple.

Wine holding up well. Not sure how much better it can get with additional cellaring. Characteristic Tempranillo notes but definitely in an elegant manner. Agree with earlier TN that aroma is lacking. Just not much aroma there.

Got to its best after 1 hour in the decanter. After that pronounced its balance and taste. Black berries, plums, and oak. Very good, solid Rioja. Would definitely have it again.

Thick blue red colour. Nose with, cigarr box, coffee and herbs. Taste: Coffe, oak, liqourice, tar, plums. The wine feels young the tannins are still settling in.

Popped and poured. Had a glass while watching AB in Spain. Dark color reminds me of port. Earthy nose with a little mushroom and blackberry. Taste is smooth, ripe cherries a little nondescript earth tones and Earl Grey tea. Sneaky smooth tannins round this out. Wish there was a little more acid up front. Simply pleasant.
