At this point, it has now gone deep yellow and has taken on some baked apple notes. Can you believe in its current state it is actually better than my previous bottles?? So… while not completely premox’d, I would suggest if one owns this that you drink up. We had to open another bottle of wine.

Opened two more bottles. My previous bottle may have just been an extreme example. These also started off reductive and absolutely smack full of saline minerality. After about 3 1/2 hours, some white orchard fruit but nothing distinguishing; masses of saline minerality now better integrated. Medium finish. Rather monolithic. But in a strange and somewhat punishing way, enjoyable. Worth a try if you run across it. If anyone is wondering what saline minerality is, just pour a glass.

Unbelievably saline and mineral, and quite reductive. A little too much on pop and pour. Left it open for a while without much change. Stuck a cork in it and will revisit tomorrow. Day two… No improvement. Thin. Poured it out. Not certain if this is the nature of this wine but I have four more bottles and will need to crack another one to find out what’s going on. Disappointing at best. Not characteristic premox either. Possibly a flawed …

Quite different of a normal chassagne - very aromatic and salty notes - could guess grown close to sea...long finish but, yes different

List price for this was insane. I got it half off and for that it was great. This was not shy, plenty of butterscotch, but also lemon and chalk and minerals. Some burnt matchstick and a little bit of wood. Very much a burgundy and befitting of the 1er cru status especially considering mediocre vintage. Would buy again but not at list.

Last bottle was corked, but this one was stunning. Really elegant with citrus fruits, fine acidity and a rich apple and hazelnut flavor and good weight. Drinking very well now with just a bit of age adding complexity. - 92 points

Dorato chiaro. Naso sui generis, con mineralità e balsamicità che ricordano la canfora, il coriandolo, il cardamomo, la frutta gialla matura, la pietra focaia, la resina. Bocca intensa, potente, freschezza perfetta e grande lunghezza

Orange and scarily aged. Oxidative aged white characters with almonds, rich minerals, hot butter , and olive oil. In fact lots of cold pressed green olives

Saturday lunch at Jade Palace with KG (Jade Palace, Forum Galleria) : I thought there was a hint of cork taint on this wine, but no one else agreed. What was clear though was that there were clear hints of oxidation on it. But for all that, this was still going strong, starting with a pretty nice nose that, tiny shade of cardboard aside, showed honeyed flowers, pears and gentle shades of spice and mineral. The palate was rather advanced …

It is a wine that has some smoky minerals on the nose along with ripe peach, nougat and white flowers. It is rich and sappy in the mouth with excellent volume and a rigid grapefruit spine.

There’s some struck match and toast to the aroma along with preserved lemons, almond meal and white flowers. In the mouth it is shapely with good delineation and the waxy, citrus fruits are rich and textured. It has very good line and is quite sappy and persistent.

Tasted at the home of Amy Weinberg. Bottle provded by Terry Geier. Bright disc. Medium gold robe with yellow rim. Clean nose, showing a very intense, beautiful perfumed bouquet of flowers, wet stones and tropical fruit (believe it or not, primarily banana). Medium-bodied on the palate, with good acidity and similar flavors as for the nose. Long, crisp finish.
