Two hour decant, this is clearly a savory side wine, with leather and tobacco as the dominant elements in both the nose and the palate. This is smooth on the tongue with light acidity and very mellow, almost non existent tannins and shows some finesse in the body of wine in general. A difficult varietal to get hands on, give this a try if you enjoy non fruity wines that are on the obscure side.

Quite an interesting, if awkward wine. High notes of fruit (raspberry and sour cherry, I think) with and medinum bodied weight and great structure as I'd expect from Italy. The most striking thing, and maybe why it's awkward, is that it had a bit of a Cornilessen thing going on. I'd like to try this with a proper decant over a longer evening. This isn't an easy sipper, but I think it has much to offer.
