Deep red. White to the rim. Very fruity nose. Hint of vanilla. Low tannin. Soft. Medium acidity. Black currants? A dash of pepper in the finish? Perhaps slightly cooked? Paired exceptionally well with veal chateaubriand, pepper sauce and a French salad with lemon dijonaise. The level of acidity gives it away as probably European, not French.
