Drinking gorgeously at Cantine Isola in Milan. Just beginning to brick in color, this classically styled gem rewards oxidation but is ready from the get-go. Fruit is still present and shining through a smooth backdrop of tannin. Cold yr and elegant wine. Finding more of this.

Very orangish hues upon pouring into the decanter. Drank an hour later. Subdued nose of sour cherries, forest wood. Medium bodied, high acidity, long astringent finish. An old school austere wine. Not a lot of fruit to offer. Need the accompaniment of food to cut the astringency down. Some Barolos are not easy wines to like, this certainly is one of them.

Pas beaucoup d'évolution depuis la dernière bouteille il y a 4 ans. Bonne acidité, tanins adoucis mais présents. À carafer 1h. Sur les fleurs et les cerises. Délicat et long en bouche. Peut attendre encore de nombreuses années.

The perfect balance of power and control. Does not miss a beat. Floral, ripe berry, flower and spice scent. Very solid structure, with red cherry, currant, mineral and anise flavor. Ample fine, but lively, tannins.

pop & pour closed nose at first. opens gradually to reveal cherry and spicy notes, with leather hints. med-full bodied, grip tannins, med balance & harmony, raspberry and liquorice flavours, with a touch of herbs. med finish. still too young, should improve with further ageing.

Je m'attendais à un vin plus rustique mais c'était fin et bon. Belle acidité, tannins fins et abondants. Un Barolo accessible en jeunesse et abordable.

Un nez assez fermé au début. Avec un peu d’aération, on y perçoit des effluves d’anis, de cerises et d’épices. Le cuir ressort après un certain temps. En bouche, c’est assez fin mais il a évolué pour devenir plus ample. Des saveurs de framboise et de réglisse avec une touche d’herbes. Les tannins sont charnus et asséchants. La finale est de belle longueur et boisé. Un peu trop jeune, devrait s’améliorer!

Lovely garnet red. Brilliant bouquet of raspberry, black pepper, and musty funk. Highly energetic flavors of astringent raspberry, wild strawberry, good gripping tannins. Good vanilla. The raspberry and a bit of strawberry lingers in the finish. Drank in Monza, Italy.
