Van Der Vijver Estate Barbera Reserve

Very well balanced. Drank this wine with food that was a little on the spicy side and the wine did not stand up well. The spicy food almost made the wine taste boozy. We set aside about 1/2 the bottle and drank something else while we finished the food. When we went back to the rest of the bottle it was much better. More well balanced and tannic than while we where eating.
