Could use a few more years, not fully matured yet.

Decanted 4+ hours prior to dinner of broiled pork loin, carrots, and potatoes. Dark, mocha-violet color. Powerful nose of dark chocolate menthol, cherries, green pepper, herbs, and onions. Medium-bodied palate follows with tangy raspberries, chocolate cherries, loads of leather, mocha, mushrooms, herbs, and a touch of brett. The finish gradually improved with air and food, bringing a juicy acidity and fine-grained tannins. Overall, a great food wine that is built to last. Drink 2013-2028.

Popped and poured. Let sit out in the bottle for an hour before drinking, but should have decanted. This needs more time to come around. It is in a very tight phase right now and is hard to judge as it's just not giving much up. A touch of berry compote on the back of the palate. Given other vintages of this wine as well as tastes of it at the release, I am going to give it the benefit …

Drank over two days. BDX blend; 62% cabernet sauvignon. Really juicy up front, with a peppery finish. Just a real pleasent wine and very enjoyable.

A friend and I tasted this at the winery on 10/27/12. It had a rich, balanced bouquet of black currant, blueberry, cocoa, herb and spice aromas. The palate was rich and full with flavors of black cherry, black currant, cocoa, herb and spice. 90+

Drinking beautifully - rich, balanced, nice complexity, great finish. Dark red/blue fruits, zinging acidity.
