Lots of tertiary flavours and textures. Oak is very well integrated and you wouldn’t pick the 13.6 ABV if it wasn’t on the bottle. It was worth the wait.

Screwcap closure. Some have reported cork closure. Developed colour. Bright with an almost saffron hue. Intense, slightly funky aroma on opening that cleaned up to complex, quite powerful Chardonnay nose, akin to good Premier Cru Burgundy. Very rare in my experience in Aussie wine. Rich but not in a Burgundian sense. It lacks the Burgundian backbone. More towards Chablis but unique in my experience. I’m struggling to find flavours I know that match it. There’s a touch of urine about …

Amazing green gold colour. Seriously good Chardonnay. Hits a lovely balance between sophisticated cool climate savoury and richness (from oak and age). Not for further cellaring. 13.3%, diam.

A bottle sent from the gods. So so good. Was more like drinking a superb white Burgundy grand cru such was the poise and grace. Definitely the best Australian Chardonnay tasting experience I’ve had. Things started with the most enchanting fresh and vibrant light silver/gold to green colour. The wine then danced across the tastebuds like an angel - somehow perfectly light and rounded at the same time. Floral (white/yellow), stone fruited, honey and mineral all together. Ethereal. I may …

Serious and stylish. A tad more oak than is fashionable on cool climate Aussie Chardonnay today, but that gives it some distinctiveness. It’s rich, yet a smidge green too. Interesting, and enjoyable. 13.3%, an odd conglomerate cork (not Diam).

Fantastic Chardonnay, previous note spot on and really like where this is right now. Flavour, richness, poise and length, it all here at the moment.

Light nose is a false dawn before an explosion of taste in the mouth. Complex. Length. it has come together perfectly. Will improve but worth a try now for the experience. It won’t let you down.

NobleRottersSydney - decent Chardonnay & Pinot (360 Bar & Dining, Sydney) : {diam, 13.5%} [Gordon] Slightly subdued nose of matchstick and sour white-fruit. Closed. Not initially impressive. Needs air. The palate is all about structure, minerals, with a cerebral character and subtle sandalwood. Want overt fruit? – go elsewhere. This fills the mouth with texture, a hint of lemon flavour and an almost tangy quality to it. No malo here I think – and tastes like it. Medium/high acid, dry, …
