Ruby red color. Nose of sweet red fruits, anise, slight tobacco. Pretty acidic once opened, but settles nicely after about an hour. Well balanced with gold structure.

Opened it and let it breathe for 1 hr. Dark cherries, tobacco and other spices. It has that awesome juiciness of good Sangiovese wines. All that for a great QPR. Smooth tannins, present though . Not extremely complex, but great for 20 bucks Recommend it!

I have a hard time figuring out why the perevious note on this wine is so negative. Decanted for 30 mins, I found it playful, accessible and most of all downright delicious. Quite a big bang for the buck here!

The palate is straight in line with the nose, giving straightforward flavors of cherry, oak, vanilla and a touch of smoke. The finish is very short. Overall, this wine is disturbingly simple, although it certainly isn't offensive in any way. It is just indistinguishable from about 100 other wines, and it …
