I don't know why I was surprised at how delicious this was. Looking at my prior notes, this should have been expected. Thank you again to Ralph Sands for suggesting this wine to me years ago.

Needed time to both come up to temperature and open. Very good. Total crowd pleaser.

Delicious, but not the way I remember it. This has tempered quite a bit. Today, I would serve it to my friends that don't like cab but like pinot noir. I thought it was much lighter and less rich than I remembered but still very good. I took a chance and paired it with salmon and it was perfect.

Decanted for 2 1/2 hours before drinking and the wine was delightful. Had it with a rack of lamb, mushrooms, finger potatoes, and asparagus. Great combination of tastes.

Even a tad better than my last bottle so this one continues to improve. Beautiful classic Napa fruity nose on opening, perfectly balanced and smooth. Continued to improve over the evening so I would give this a few hours in the decanter before drinking next time. CT says I have one bottle left, I hope that is true because I’m not sure where it is!

This is much better than the last time I tried it, probably 2 years ago. This time, on opening it was quite thin but had beautiful fruity aromas. Balanced dark fruit and very smooth tannins on the palate. This really picked up weight with air and was at its best around 5+ hours in.
