I'm guessing there's a reason this is called Saltia. They crossed the L, right? This is a very salinous wine. Soooo good. I love it. Probably the limestone soils? Immediate nose held tart ripe cherries with earth and truffles. The first sip was wonderful with salted cherries on the core and edges and finish with that tart cherries, then herbs with anise and spices. Just a fantastic wine for under $20 at BevMo. I'm somewhat of a wine intuitive and …

Kind of like the little brother of the signature "Finca Sandoval" wine, it offers great value for its cost. According to its website, it is Syrah-based from plots rich in clay which give aromatic, less structured wines, with a strong proportion of the lively garnacha tintorera (alicante bouschet) and a dollop of garnacha/grenache. It is ready for earlier drinking than Finca Sandoval. Enjoy!

Herbs, red and dark fruits. Some bitterness. Very well textur but elegant style. Well made wine with a very clean cut with medium+ acid and soft medium tannins.

Clear dark ruby color. Nose of leather, clay, herbs, and ripe red fruits. Moderate acid, rich body, fine tannin. Medium finish, a hair bitter and hot. Overall it’s very good. Kind of like a Rioja but definitely different... it gives the impression of being made with grapes that really baked in the sun.

Cedar wood, tobacco, Black fruit in the nose and mouth, velvety and smooth wine with quite some intensity, without being overpowering. Went well with ribeye from the BBQ.
