Someone at this tasting said "Aglianico is the Barolo of the south". In the mouth this wine started off with a sour bite and was also rich and chewy berry-cherry fruit with notes of compost and leather. Slightly drying tannins. Wood in the finish. Dry. Body medium plus, tannin medium plus, acid medium plus. Nice. Seems like a good wine for strong food.
